Trade Show Participation
Multicam exhibits at many trade shows in various states throughout the year. Participation at trade shows is seen as the perfect opportunity to showcase the latest machinery, developments and applications in CNC routing. Below is a small sample of trade shows that we have attended in the past.
Nested Based Manufacturing demonstrated at AWISA 2002

AWISA Show StandMulticam CNC Routing Systems were proud to showcase FOUR fully operational CNC Routing machines at the AWISA Woodworking Trade Show held in Sydney, Australia.

Two machines featured 8'x4' process areas, 3.8Kw HSD ceramic bearing spindles, Automatic Tool Change and Rietschle vacuum hold down systems.

The third machine on display featured a process area of 8'x6', 3.8Kw HSD ceramic bearing spindle, Automatic Tool Change and Rietschle vacuum hold down; whilst the fourth machine exhibited dual work zones of 8'x4'. This machine also had a 7Kw HSD ceramic bearing spindle, Automatic Tool Change and dual Rietschle vacuum hold down systems.

AWISA Show StandAt Multicam Systems we have been promoting, the principles of Nested Based Manufacturing for many years now.  Positioning a group of components on a sheet of material to obtain the best yield from the material is but one of the advantages of N.B.M.

Until recently, kitchen and vanity cabinets, wardrobes, bookcases and many other related timber products have been manufactured using traditional processes.  Individual components cut from sheets of material, using a panel or beam saw, were then processed, one piece at a time, for drilling boring and routing operations.

Using a Multicam CNC Routing Machine and N.B.M. principals, a full sheet of components can be, drilled, routed and cut from the sheet in one setup at a single work station.

The advantages stack up rapidly:  vastly reduced handling of materials; higher yield per sheet from a routing machine when compared to a saw;  greater accuracy facilitates easier assembly and improves product quality;  smaller capital outlay for one machine only and, most importantly, improved safety through better work practices.

Using industry standard software packages such as Cabnetworks, Cabinet Vision and Pytha, to name a few, the time from concept to production of a project can be greatly reduced. This increases your productivity and streamlines your entire production cycle.

Austech 2002 Trade Show demonstrates machine versatility.

Automatic Tool Changer During National Manufacturing Week held in Sydney, Australia , we were able to demonstrate the versatility of Multicam CNC Routing machines at the Austech Trade Show.

Austech is the major machine tool and manufacturing technology exhibition for the Australian market, and is a showcase for the latest developments in manufacturing and production processes. Because of the broad appeal the trade show holds for suppliers it is the ideal forum for companies to investigate new technology or broaden their horizons.

Visitors were surprised to find that Multicam CNC Routing machines are used in industries ranging from Aluminium fabrication to plastic engineering.

On display was a Multicam Series II-S CNC Routing machine featuring automatic tool change, high speed ceramic bearing spindle, micro drop mist cooling system and T-slot table. During the show the machine was put through its paces cutting engineering components from aluminium and acrylic sheets of varying thicknesses.

Companies using Multicam CNC Routing machines range from Point Of Sale display manufacturers, vehicle accessory manufacturers, boat builders and truck body and bullbar manufacturers to plastic engineering, aluminium fabrication and the aerospace industry.

The versatility of Multicam CNC routing machines is proven by the varied and diverse industries in which they are currently employed. If your company process sheet type products or vacuum forms components then you should be investigating how a Multicam machine can assist your business.
