All MultiCam CNC routing machines include a STEEL gantry and incorporate heavy duty linear bearings and precision machined rack and pinion drive on the X and Y axes with a fully controllable ball screw on the Z axis.
The extra heavy duty construction of Multicam CNC routing machines
includes a fully welded steel sub frame and a fully welded steel gantry
manufactured from 250mmx150mmx5mm wall thickness RHS. The Steel gantry and steel
column supports form a single fabricated piece which provides increased rigidity
and reduced vibration. The X axis bearings are mounted directly to the gantry
column supports which also improves rigidity, whist the linear rails are mounted
horizontally on our specially designed section which is machined prior to
mounting the bearing rails. All this results in a machine of exceptional
rigidity and smoothness of operation.

The onboard controller of the MultiCam utilises advanced microprocessor components and Flashram technology to store jobs, machine configurations and customised operating
parameters. Totally integrated 3D capability is offered as standard across the full range of MultiCAM machines. The open architecture design of the MultiCam controller allows for the design of component shapes in software such as AutoCAD, CASmate, MasterCAM,
Enroute and many other third party software packages.
The MultiCam onboard controller gives the operator full "on the fly" control over such features as Multi-Depth, Z axis control, Multi-Pass, Plunge speed, Plunge Pause time, Travel speed, cut direction, absolute or relative Origin set, cutter compensation and much, much more.

 Automatic Tool Change - Multicam CNC
routing machines can be supplied with fully Automatic Tool Changing systems. The
Rotary Tool Change unit is mounted on the travelling gantry of the machine which
means that a tool change can be performed at any point along the machine process
area. As the machine does not need to travel to a fixed point to perform a tool
change significant increases in productivity are achieved.If you manufacture components that incorporate multiple tools, the use of a fully Automatic Tool Change system will see major increases in production and performance. The tool change operation is carried out completely automatically by the Multicam control system and is a must have addition for any companies involved in Nested Based Manufacturing. The unique rotary tool change unit has been designed with speed and safety of operation major considerations. Tool changes are performed well away from the operator with the engaging and disengaging of tooling being fully concealed.  Automatic Z Tool Sensor - A standard feature of all
model Multicam machines our Z tool sensor incorporates an electronic feedback sensor which automatically detects different length tools and compensates the Z position to suit its length. All with no operator error or intervention. This feature also ensures accurate depth on all tools.
The Automatic Tool Tip sensor is used to accurately set tool lengths ensuring consistent depth cutting, even after a tool change. Soft touch feedback and automatically reduced setting speed protects even to most delicate of tools. |

| Vacuum Table - We have developed a unique T Slot vacuum hold down system for holding down the work piece. The Multicam vacuum table is powered by Siemens high performance vacuum pumps ensuring long term reliability. Also available is valved sectioning to suit custom requirements to further increase production flexibility. |

 Multiple Heads - The entire range of MultiCam CNC routing machines can be fitted dual or multiple heads.
This option means that the heads can either be run in tandem for dual processing, or separately for applications that may require multiple tool processing to complete the job. The addition of multiple heads can mean considerable savings in processing times and also increase production through streamlined use of tooling. |
