Multicam CNC routing machines now
available with fully automatic material handling solutions.
Multicam Systems, suppliers of the
fully Australian made range of Multicam CNC Routing machines are pleased to
announce the release of their fully automatic material handling system for their
range of Heavy Duty SR series CNC Routing machines.
The manual handling of heavy and
cumbersome sheet material on to and off flat bed CNC routing machines has always
been an issue. Sheets of material are easily damaged whilst being loaded on to
the machine bed and completed pieces are also prone to damage as they are being
removed from the machine. In day to day production, operator fatigue and injury
are major concerns within the Kitchen, Cabinetmaking and Shopfitting industries
and a solution needed to be found.
The Multicam
material handling system incorporates an automatic indexing table, automatic
material loading arm, automatic material unloading arm and automatic off loading
conveyor table.
Packs of board are
stacked directly on to the indexing table. During the material loading process
the indexing table raises the board to the required height to allow the loading
arm to collect the board. The loading arm moves the sheet of material on to the
machine bed whilst the unloading arm simultaneously moves finished components on
to the off loading conveyor table. The offloading conveyor table moves the
finished components to the end of the table where they can be easily removed by
the operator. A light beam sensor ensures that finished parts are always moved
toward the operator ready for collection.
The system means that there is no
more stopping the machine while reaching across the table to grab components.
Production is increased, operator fatigue is greatly reduced and the risk of
injury to the operator is virtually eliminated and of course the the material
loading and unloading system will work with other products as well.
